Zachary Donoviel, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult reconstruction, including total hip and knee replacements, complex primary hip and knee arthroplasty, and complex revision hip and knee arthroplasty. Dr. Donoviel performs all approaches to the hip and offers partial knee replacements. He is also interested in fracture care.

Growing up in the Houston area, Dr. Donoviel has firm roots in Texas. He left the state for his undergraduate education at Auburn University in Alabama, where he graduated with a degree in Molecular biology. Dr. Donoviel then returned to Texas, where he lived in San Antonio for a year before heading to the Valley and joining the inaugural medical school class at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine. He then completed his orthopedic residency training out of state at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. After finishing his residency, Dr. Donoviel completed his adult reconstruction fellowship at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Dr. Donoviel currently lives in San Antonio with his wife and a springer spaniel. In his spare time, Dr. Donoviel enjoys weight training, fishing, hiking, and spending time with his wife and family.
