ABOUT
Dr. Schmidt was born and raised on a ranch outside of Fredericksburg, Texas. His family was one of the founding ranching families in Fredericksburg and he still continues ranching in the area to this day. He attended Fredericksburg High School, the University of Texas for undergrad and was accepted into the University of Texas Medical School early. After completing his residency in San Antonio, he continued with Specialty Knee training in Australia and Aukland, New Zealand.
Dr. Schmidt is the proud father of daughter Casey, and his late son, a Marine Scout Sniper, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2011.
